Ever been on a blind couples date? ... Yeah, neither have we. We're going on our first one tonight. Our realtor sold a house to a couple last month and thought we'd really hit it off, so she set us up. I've been talking to the wife over the past few weeks (our realtor was right, they are fabulous), and am really excited to meet them both.
In other news, we're hitting DC tomorrow. I haven't played the tourist role in that city for years, so it will be nice to wander the monuments and museums. Also nice: we'll be spending the day with Haley, who is back from Iraq for good!! She's at the Pentagon for just a few weeks before she heads down to Florida to continue her duties with General Petraeus (she's kind of a big deal), so we'll take as much as we can with her while she's still nearby.
It seems to be the weekend of friends new and old, because one of our best friends from high school is coming also coming into town this weekend. I was just counting backward in my head, and yup, it really has been 13 years since we met. When in the hayell did we get to be so old?
