It's hard to believe that this is our fourth All-American Week here at Ft. Bragg. Have we really been here that long? Of course, there was no celebration last year when all four brigades were deployed. With the recent return of 4BCT (YAY Adam and Mike!), only 1BCT is missing.
The first few days of the week were devoted to traditional homecoming activities like the Division run and various sporting competitions. All good fun, absolutely, but most meaningful:
"On Thursday, Bush will attend the division's review ceremony, then head across the massive post in central North Carolina to help rededicate the division's memorial for paratroopers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The memorial is being expanded; there is no more room for the names of the dead on its original granite pillar." ArmyTimes
Matt volunteered to serve as an escort for the parents of a dear friend. It was my distinct honor to join them for the review and memorial service (where we sat only three rows behind the President), and then again on Friday for the JRTX at Sicily Drop Zone.
